Due to many customer requests, we are proud to introduce
our Original Giclee Art Prints for the first time as Miniature Prints
known as ACEO's.

WHAT ARE ACEO's & ATC's?

ACEOs are Art Card Editions & Originals. ATCs are Art Trading Cards and are often known as ACEOs.  By definition, they should measure
2.5 x 3.5 inches in size and are purchased, traded and collected
by hundreds of thousands of avid art fans, the World over.
Now archival art is suddenly affordable and these ACEO prints make the perfect gift for anybody with very little display space.

ACEOs are considered Art Miniatures and as such, are a great art investment
for those who appreciate fine art in this amazing format.
Signed by the artist and serial numbered on the reverse side.
These gorgeous ACEO miniature giclee prints come from Rustic Moon Publications in a neat package complete with acid-free mat backing-board and clear water-proof bag, for safer shipping and display once it arrives at its new home.  If desired, our prints can be easily removed from the backing-board inserts for framing or an alternative display in your collection.

ACEO's may be either prints or originals and can feature any subject matter. Scroll down for our current sample display.

For an explanation of what an Inukshuk is, scroll down a little more.
THE MEANING OF "INUKSHUK"

The Inukshuk (pronounced IN-OOK-SHOOK) meaning "in the image of man", are magnificent lifelike figures of stone which were erected by the Inuit people and are unique to the Canadian Arctic. Standing along Canada's most northern shores, they endure as eternal symbols of leadership, encouraging the importance of friendship and reminding us of our dependence upon one another.

In the Baffin region of Canada's Arctic, the traditional meaning of an Inukshuk was to act as a compass or guide for a safe journey. The Inukshuk, like ancient trackers, helped guide people seeking their way through the wilderness. An Inukshuk on land with two arms and legs means there is a valley. At the end of this valley, you will be able to go in two directions. Today, this serves as a reminder that we always have a choice in the direction we choose to take in our lives.

Erected to make the way easier and safer for those who follow, an Inukshuk represents safety and nourishment, trust and reassurance. The Inukshuk guided people across the frozen tundra and gave them hope in barren places to handle hardships they encountered. These primitive, stone images showed the way ahead... pointing you in the direction you wanted to go. Had they been able to speak, I am certain they would have said... "Here is the road. It is safe. You can meet the demands that this path holds. You can reach your goals and attain your vision of where you want to be."

"MIDNIGHT SUN"
(Polar bear, Inukshuk & Solar Eclipse)

A giclee print of a sensitive painting by
Skye Ryan-Evans.

This artwork was created in support of this precious species of bear,
which deserves our care and protection.

"The Legend of the Midnight Sun  (The Sacrifice of the Great Polar Bear).

He came from far away, across breaking ice floes and flooding tundra. He travelled to find the One God of the People of the North, who could tell the humans of the citied lands that his kind was dying.  The ice was melting, the fish were scarce and the Sun burned hotter than any risen before.  His clan were in danger of passing before the eyes of Men into an oblivion that would rival an Eternal Eclipse.  For death among the clan of the Polar Bear was expressed among them as an "eclipsing".

He knew as did all of the creatures of the ice lands, that it was Man who had taken more than his share of the bounties of the World and because of him, because of us all, nature had suffered intensely at the taking.  Life was no longer in balance and nature was in danger of breaking apart so that all things could eventually die. The World in Eclipse... a terrible foretelling and for this prophecy he had wandered for days without partaking of food or drink, to find the God stones.

He finally sighted the Inukshuk upon a rise of shallow moraine far in the distance and made his way to it, to offer his petition on behalf of all of the animals of the Arctic realm.  He pleaded for many days at the foot of the stones until he was so weakened from exhaustion and starvation, that he could plead no more.  The great Bear never departed from those stones, but lay at the feet of the mighty Inukshuk and passed there.

To commemorate his great sacrifice, the Sun closed his eyes and blotted his light from the Earth, and went black in the Northern sky at a time when Man's wisdom declared there would be no eclipse, so that people everywhere would fear and tremble at the strange and unexpected event.  And in so doing, perhaps these frightened ones might listen to the warning to Mankind of the plight of the Arctic creatures and animals everywhere, who are endangered by the selfishness of Man, before it is all too late. "IN SEARCH OF ICE"
(Polar Bear)

An adult male Polar Bear swims the waters of an Alaskan inlet in search of an Ice Floe to rest upon.
Due to Global Warming, these precious creatures are dying in large numbers from starvation and drownings at sea. This is mainly due to the loss of ice packs for them to hunt on and to use as respite from swimming, when in search of food off the coastlines of Alaska and Canada.
Ice melt is also a serious threat to most other ocean mammals like Seals right across the Northern hemisphere.

This poignant image was created as a Giclee Print  from a mixed media painting by Skye Ryan-Evans.

The artwork was created in protest of the inaction of Governments worldwide against the massive threat of Global Warming!

GLOBAL WARMING must be stopped!
