The Legend of Wolf Lake tells the story of a beautiful Wolf named Aurora. She was thus called for her love of the glorious Northern Lights that danced and flowed across her sky. She was the only one of her kind who would howl to the Aurora in preference to the Full Moon.
Hearing the deep longing in her voice as she howled, the compassionate Moon took pity upon her and lifted her up into the sky, where she could run and hunt Eternally, among her beloved Northern Lights. Her spirit shines to this day above Wolf Lake, and her howling which echoes through the still Winter Nights, was named "Aurora's Song"
